Originally from Oregon, Dr. Kathleen joins the Washington Park Pediatric Dentistry team as a board-certified pediatric dentist near Bonnie Brae with nearly 20 years of experience.
Her decision to pursue dentistry began after taking a health occupations class in high school. Admiring the kind of work that doctors and their staff performed and the interactions they had with patients, she became interested in the dental field, specifically pediatric dentistry.
After enrolling at the University of Puget Sound for her undergraduate studies, she decided to enroll at Oregon Health Sciences University. She spent time working in public health before deciding to complete her pediatric dental certificate from Texas A&M College of Dentistry as well as her board certification.
Although her formal education is complete, she continues to pursue additional courses to refine her skills and further her knowledge about various aspects of pediatric dentistry. In addition, she is an active member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
When she’s not busy helping little smiles grow healthy and strong, you’ll find her spending time with her husband, two boys, and their chocolate Labrador, Brewski. She also enjoys fishing, hiking, and playing sports of all kinds. She also bakes and travels when she can.
The staff is incredibly amazing and understanding with children especially with special needs. They actually care and work with you for what is best for YOUR child. The building is not like any other dental or medical office before, and the environment is very welcoming. I highly recommend them! You immediately feel at ease when you walk into and out of the office. Thank you!
